The Bayshore Road GLS was a new land plot announced on the 6 Dec 2023, as part of the 1H2024 GLS Programme, and was released as part of the Reserve List.
This land plot is in a sought after residential location, and is also located directly on top of Bayshore MRT, part of the Thomson-East Coast Line.
On the 6 Dec 2023, as part of the 1H 2024 Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme, Bayshore Road GLS was announced as a new residential plot.
This land plot is located in a prime location, directly on top of Bayshore MRT Station.
This also forms part of the Government's plans to develop Bayshore as the next housing area.
The "Long Island" is envisioned to stretch around 15km from Marina East to Changi, and contains a reservoir flanked by two land spaces.
The purpose of the reservoir is to boost Singapore's water supply and protect its coastline from rising sea levels; and at the same time the land spaces can be developed for new homes and integrated with coastal parks and recreational spaces.
Climate change strategies when integrated with Singapore's long-term plans will help to meet our land use needs and provide opportunities to expand and enhance our green and blue network.

1. The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has released three residential1 sites at Media Circle (Parcel A & B) and Bayshore Road for sale under the second half of 2024 (2H2024) Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme.
2. The sites at Media Circle (Parcels A & B) and Bayshore Road are launched for sale under the Confirmed List and can potentially yield 325, 500 and 515 residential units respectively. These form part of the 5,050 residential units to be released via the Confirmed List of the 2H2024 GLS programme to cater to housing demand and maintain market stability.
3. The Government will continue to release a steady supply of private residential units in coming GLS programmes, with supply calibrated to account for prevailing economic and property market conditions.

5. The tenders for the sites at Media Circle (Parcels A & B) and Bayshore Road will close at 12 noon on 4 March 2025, 29 April 2025 and 18 March 2025 respectively. More details on the three land parcels are available on the URA website.

• Sustained supply of 5,050 private residential units to be tendered out in 2H2024, similar to the 5,450 units in 1H2024.
• Total supply of 11,110 private residential units in 2024 (including 610 units from the activated Reserve List site tendered out in May 2024) will be the highest supply introduced in a single year since 2013.
• Good spread of sites island-wide will provide a variety of housing options that cater to different needs and preferences.

1. The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has released three residential1 sites at Dairy Farm Walk, Tengah Garden Avenue and Bayshore Road for sale today under the first half 2024 (1H2024) Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme.
2. The sites at Dairy Farm Walk and Tengah Garden Avenue are launched for sale under the Confirmed List and can potentially yield 540 and 860 residential units respectively. These form part of the 5,450 residential units to be made available via the Confirmed List of the 1H2024 GLS programme. The site at Bayshore Road is available for application under the Reserve List and can potentially yield 515 units. Together, these three sites can provide a potential supply of 1,915 residential units.
3. To cater to demand, the Government has increased the Confirmed List supply of private housing in the GLS programme to 5,450 units in 1H2024, from 4,090 units in 1H2023 and 5,160 units in 2H2023. This is the highest supply on the Confirmed List in a single GLS Programme since the 2H2013 GLS Programme.

The Government today announced the GLS Programme for 1H2024, which comprises ten Confirmed List sites and nine Reserve List sites. These sites can yield about 8,910 private residential units, 107,750 sqm gross floor area (GFA) of commercial space and 530 hotel rooms.
The Confirmed List comprises nine private residential sites (including one EC site and one long-stay Serviced Apartments1 site) and one commercial & residential site, which can collectively yield about 5,450 private residential units (including 710 EC units and 515 long-stay Serviced Apartments) and 13,900 sqm GFA of commercial space.
